Sometimes it takes virtually no effort to produce a blog post. Of course it helps that my ever vigilant friend Chris keeps me apprised of the esoterica of the food world. Certainly I try to keep up, but sometimes the abundance is overwhelming.
Once again, an enterprising restaurateur is raising the bar on conspicuous consumption. This time with pizza.
Fatima and I have been talking lately about some of the loopy things that go on here in Sarasota, and that perhaps Carl Hiaasen doesn’t really need to work all that hard to find characters for his novels. I think this business about million dollar cakes and thousand dollar pizzas would be right up his alley.
